Hi, I’m Jen. 👋
Based in Toronto, Ontario 🇨🇦. I think I am a storytelling/writing hobbyist who somehow ended up with two blogs. This one is the quieter, less polished, hopefully more human of the two. Either way, welcome to Jen’s Lazy Days.
So, Who Am I?
I’m someone who loves matcha lattes, gets genuinely excited about Korean and Japanese stationery, and has strong opinions about anime and K-pop (a typical Asian, right?). I’m currently learning Japanese - slowly, but steadily, and with realistic expectations. I have been to Japan three times for an extremely short each time, and am already planning the next visit right after coming back from it. I believe in practical gifts, low-pressure spaces, and the idea that sharing is caring.
By day, life looks like most people’s: busy, adulting, figuring it out. By night (or whenever inspiration strikes), I write for this blog platform.
What Is Jen’s Lazy Days, Exactly?
It’s my second blog and intentionally so.
My main blog, Jen’s One Fine Day, is where I put my travel and lifestyle content with more structure, more effort, and more consistency. This space is something different entirely.
Jen’s Lazy Days is where I write when I feel like it. No strict schedule. No SEO pressure. No chasing algorithms. Just honest thoughts on life, personal reflections, the occasional rant on the culture of gift-giving, and all the other things that don’t really belong elsewhere. If you stumbled upon this blog, congratulations! If you actually read and enjoy it, well, I’m just really happy you’re here.
Why "Lazy Days"?
Well, because I live by the simple philosophy for this blog that I should write when I’m feeling it, and sleep when I don’t. Some people need deadlines to function, which I am for my main blog. I need the opposite for this platform – a space with no expectations, where showing up is optional.
That’s this blog. Lazy in name, genuine in spirit.
Why should you come along the ride?
Who’s knows? Also, to be honest, you do not have to.
Maybe if you ever curious to know about quiet, in-between part of life, like the struggles, and the topics that do not make it in the main blog, you might find something here.
Whether it about my Japanese language journey to trial and error, or even starting over and behind the scenes of my main blog, or sometimes just about figuring things out as I go.
